Finished little socks.

These are the completed socks for my son. They are actually this bright in real life if not more so. I had to rip back the toe on the 1st sock to make it longer so we decided to do stripes there too. I used the Eye Of Partridge heel with garter stitch edging on these. I am hoping that if he grows before he wears them out I can rip back the toes again and knit them longer. The wool I have used here is a DK weight so they are quite thick and I don't think they will fit in his shoes. I used 44 stitches.

I have started another pair for him. This is Jaeger matchmaker merino 4 ply. It is a light green colour but I went abit mad with the Kool Aid. As this is thinner I have used 48 stitches ( as recommended by SKS ) but I do think I could have got away with less. I am hoping that these will fit in his shoes. I am planning to do a slip stitch heel on these.
