I am also thinking of closing my Folksy shop as there isn't a lot of interest there. I keep going in and shoplifting the fibre to spin myself.
I want to do a pair of really patterned socks. I started some and decided that as much as I loved them, the yarn had a tendency to slightly felt when washed so I didn't really want to continue.
The LYS close to me that stocks sock wool hasn't got a great deal of choice for plain colours. I didn't want fancy as the pattern would get lost.
Black, burgandy and beige are the choices. All of which I have used before.
I bought 1 black and 2 beige.
Going to get the wool this afternoon to cast on it suddenly dawned on me that is doesn't have to be beige so I am dyeing it a blue colour.
With the base being beige I have no idea what will happen but whatever happens I won't be knitting socks from beige.
